We are in the midst of a global environmental crisis. Human activities are causing widespread destruction and degradation of ecosystems worldwide, putting approximately 1 million species at risk of extinction. By harming nature, we are jeopardizing our life support systems, as the incredible diversity of life on Earth is fundamental to the functioning of our societies and economies.

  1. Maintaining Native Species: Maintain the continued existence of naturally occurring native species and genotypes.   2. Habitat Management: Forest managers must manage habitats to prevent losses of biological diversity.   4. Environmental Impact Assessments: Before any site-disturbing activities, environmental impact assessments are conducted.
